Bylaws for The Gathering of Tribes & Indigenous Cultures

"Protecting the Inherent Rights to Sacred Medicines"

Article I – Name

The name of this organization is The Gathering of Tribes & Indigenous Cultures.

Article II – Mission Statement

"Until All Have Gathered." This mission embodies our unwavering commitment to ensuring that every individual has the opportunity to access and honor sacred plant medicines, free from interference or infringement.

Article III – Purpose and Jurisdiction

1. Purpose: To provide a sanctuary for the practice, promotion, and preservation of indigenous spiritual and healing traditions involving the use of sacred plants.

2. Jurisdiction: These bylaws are founded upon the U.S. Constitution's First Amendment, the American Indian Religious Freedom Act (AIRFA), the Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA), and international conventions such as the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP). 

Article IV – Membership

1. Eligibility: Open to all, recognizing the inherent right of every individual to access, learn from, and uphold sacred plant traditions.

2. Equal Treatment: Members are accorded equal rights and privileges within the organization, irrespective of ethnicity or cultural background.

Article V – Sacred Medicines Recognized

Our recognition of sacred medicines is not a request for permission but an affirmation of our Creator-bestowed rights. The following are recognized for ceremonial use:

1. Peyote (Lophophora williamsii)

2. Psilocybin Mushrooms

3. Ayahuasca

4. San Pedro (Huachuma)

5. Cannabis

6. Tobacco

7. Cacao

8. Bufo

9. Any traditionally used indigenous plants or medicines, subject to internal review.

Article VI – Guidelines for Sacred Plant Use

1. Respect: Sacred plants are treated as revered sacraments.

2. Setting: Ceremonies are conducted in sanctified spaces, ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants.

Article VII – Legal Foundations and Advocacy

1. Legal Framework: Our practices are deeply rooted in and protected by the foundational rights enshrined in the U.S. Constitution, the AIRFA, the RFRA, and UNDRIP. These rights, divinely and legally recognized, are non-negotiable and beyond the jurisdiction of any temporal authority to revoke or deny.

2. Advocacy: The organization will actively engage in advocacy to fortify the rights of its members, ensuring these rights are recognized, respected, and unobstructed.

Article VIII – Leadership

1. Council of Elders: Respected individuals from diverse backgrounds will oversee organizational practices.

2. Election and Tenure: Elders are nominated and elected based on their wisdom and commitment.

Article IX – Ceremonial Conduct

1. Regular Ceremonies: Monthly ceremonies will be organized. Special ceremonies may also be convened as appropriate.

2. Open Participation: All members possess the equal and inherent right to participate in any ceremony.

Article X – Amendments

1. Proposals for amendments are submitted to the Council of Elders and require a two-thirds majority for adoption.

Article XI – Assertion of Rights

1. Universal Rights: Every individual's engagement with sacred plant medicines in a ceremonial context is an inherent right, bestowed by the Creator, protected under the highest laws, and is non-negotiable.

2. Stance Against Discrimination: The organization stands as a bulwark against any attempts at discrimination, suppression, or infringement.

Article XII – Location

The Gathering of Tribes & Indigenous Cultures operates from Yanaguana, Tejas (San Antonio, TX).




In drafting these bylaws, we anchor our practices in the unwavering belief in our Creator-bestowed rights and the legal protections enshrined in our nation's and the international community's highest legal instruments. The Gathering of Tribes & Indigenous Cultures stands resolute against any entity that attempts to curtail or suppress these sacred rights.
