Things to Know Before Ceremony

Event Details:

Join us for an authentic Ayahuasca ceremony in the heart of San Antonio. This ancient indigenous tradition, used for spiritual awakening and self exploration, will be guided by people devoted to the medicine. Participants will be supported throughout their journey of introspection and transformation.

Dieta:

The Ayahuasca Dieta is an essential part of preparing for and integrating the ceremony. It's not just about food; it's a spiritual, mental, and physical cleanse. Please adhere to the following:

•  Foods to Avoid (3 days prior and after the ceremony):
•    Fermented foods
•    Spicy foods
•    Pork
•    Dairy products
•    Processed meats and foods
•    Excessive sugars and sweets
•    Caffeine
•    Alcohol
•  Medications to Avoid (at least a week prior to the ceremony):
•    Antidepressants (especially MAOIs or SSRIs)
•    Blood pressure medications
•    Antibiotics
•    Stimulants or amphetamines
•    Antipsychotic medications
•    Please consult with your healthcare professional and the event organizer if you are on any other medications.
•  Activities to Limit/Exclude:
•    Sexual activities
•    Exposure to negative energies (e.g., violent media)
•    Overexertion or excessive exercise

Mindset and Spirituality:

   Engage in practices like meditation, reading, or nature walks to center yourself.

   Avoid overstimulation; keep your environment calm and peaceful.

   Set intentions for your journey and reflect on them in the days leading up to the ceremony.

What to Bring:

1. For the ceremony: Women should wear long skirts and men should wear long pants.

2. A blanket, yoga mat, or foldable chair for sitting down. Ceremony will be held outdoors.

3. A warm jacket, poncho, or blanket. It could get cold, especially at night during the fall and winter months.

4. Comfortable clothing for other activities.

5. A water bottle.

6. Personal journal and pen (optional).

7. An open mind and heart.

Important Notes:

 This ceremony is NOT recreational; it's a spiritual and transformative experience.

 Participants must be over the age of 18.

 Consultation required before participation to ensure safety and compatibility.

 Persons with specific medical conditions or on certain medications may not be suitable participants.

 Alcohol or drugs should not be consumed 72 hours before the ceremony.
